The D-Series line of material handing conveyors are second cousins to the SD-Series. The D-Series is used when you need to move your material along a horizontal plane. If you need to get stuff from point A to point B, the D-Series may be just the ticket.
The bed of this conveyor belt is constructed with a 15 degree trough configuration. This is designed to prevent material from rolling off the belt during transit. The belt is supported by a center roller for additional strength. Bed widths are built in 16, 10, and 24 inch dimensions so that you can match the conveyor to your material throughput requirements. The bearings on the belt pulleys are sealed and pr-lubricated.
The belt itself is constructed of a black 150 rubber belt and is available with either a smooth or rough surface texture. Choose the belt surface to match your needs. Besides dry materials like dirt, sand, and gravel, the D-Series can also move wet material. Mud, sludge, and sometimes wet cement can be transported on these conveyor belts.
The D-Series boasts the same durable construction as its cousin, the SD-Series: strong tubular steel in either 7/8 inch or 1-1/4 inch diameters (conveyor length dictates the size) and is finished in an environmentally safe, water-based enamel paint that is industrial duty.
Power to the D-Series conveyor is supplied by an electric motor, gasoline engine, or hydraulic motor. Permanent installations may benefit from Electric motors since a more constant torque is possible under heavy load. Hydraulic drives and gasoline engines allow the conveyor to be more portable, a big plus on an ever-changing jobsite. Additionally, the belt can be either V-belt driven or driven by a gearbox assembly.
The conveyors come in various lengths to accommodate your specifications. Standard lengths run incrementally from 16 feet to 52 feet. Custom lengths are available should your requirements call for them.
Optional accessories can add more function to your conveyor. Hoppers, stands, and other accessories can be found on our accessory page, so check them out. If moving material is your plan, the D-Series belt conveyors won’t disappoint you.
