Frequently Asked Questions
Do you keep conveyors in stock?
We keep a few of our C-Series models in stock. Otherwise, we build all orders per order specifications so that we accommodate the customers’ requests. The average lead time to complete a conveyor belt order is approximately two to three weeks.
What is the lead time/availability for a conveyor?
A simple belt conveyor order that includes only standard products can be completed as quickly as two weeks. Our average lead time to complete a conveyor order is three weeks. However, if the order is complex and includes many conveyors and/or optional equipment, the lead time can take up to five weeks. If the availability is a deal breaker, we will do our best to meet your expectations. We will always specify the lead time in our quotations.
How much material can the conveyors move?
This is one of the most difficult questions to answer. There are many variables that affect the volume throughput. We do our best in figuring the amount of material our conveyor belts can move. This is the information we need in order to calculate a close estimate for volume throughput:
1. Material density per cubic foot
2. Angle of repose
3. Characteristics of the material
4. Incline angle of conveyor
For general calculations refer to our conveyor volume calculator.
On how steep of an incline can the conveyor operate?
The maximum incline angle is mostly dependent on three variables:
1. The type of conveyor
2. The style of cleats on the belt (if the belt has cleats)
3. The characteristics of the material
The maximum incline for our two incline conveyors, the C-series conveyor and the SD-series conveyor, is approximately a 50 to 60 degrees incline.
How are the conveyors shipped?
The conveyors almost always ship on partial or full load, dedicated flatbed trucks, especially if the conveyor is longer than 16 feet. We have found this to be the most reliable method of transportation in getting the product to the destination in an acceptable amount of time, and without any damage.
Do you rent conveyors?
We only manufacture and sell new product. However, we sell our products to a few rental companies that may be in your area. Please contact us and we will do our best in helping you locate a rental company.
